For many campers, this is a first opportunity to build something out of wood with hand tools. Projects are varied; some build stools, or shelves for their cabin, others build boats, or pinewood derby cars for the annual race. Sometimes a group will work together to build something for camp. The wood shop is always a busy place, as kids turn their vision into reality and learn a life-skill in the process!
