The North Country Camps is moderately priced when compared with other summer camps. Still, the NCC experience is not affordable for some families. The Gucker Campership Fund provides financial support to help families afford Lincoln and Whippoorwill. Supported by tax-free contributions from past and present camp families, campers and counselors, the Fund is available for a range of family circumstances and various levels of assistance. Although funding is not guaranteed, inquiries are encouraged and kept strictly confidential. To learn more, please inquire here.

The Gucker Campership Fund is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that operates independent of the North Country Camps Foundation. It was established in 1974 as the Chief’s Memorial Campership Fund in honor of the North Country Camps’ founders, Colba “Chief” and Gladys Gucker. Now, more than 100 years since the NCC was founded, the Gucker Campership Fund honors generations of Gucker family leadership. Dozens of young people spend summers at the North Country Camps thanks to financial assistance from the Fund. In summer 2022, 35 camp families received a total of $200,000 in support. The Fund draws all its resources from contributions from the camp community. Virtually all the funds raised go directly toward camperships.

Many camp families benefit from financial assistance. Thanks to our supportive community, campers explore the outdoors, master skills, learn self-sufficiency and develop lasting friendships. They run and play and swim and sing and laugh — enjoying the freedom and possibility of youth.
