Season Information

The 2019 Camp Season will open on Sunday, June 30, and close on Tuesday, August 20.

 Options for season length:

  • Full season – June 30 – August 20 - $9100
  • First five week session – June 30 –  August 3 - $7900
  • Second five week session – July 13 – August 20 - $7900
  • 3 week introductory session - June 30 – July 20 - $5700 
  • 2nd 3 week introductory session - July 21 - August 10 - $5700

Recognizing that for new campers and their families (especially younger boys and girls), five or seven weeks can seem like a long time, we're offering a limited number of first-timer, 3 week sessions with the option to stay longer.

It is always possible to extend your stay, if you’ve chosen a shorter session. Contact Kate or Doug for more information.

 We are happy to offer a $200 discount to families who register by December 1.

 A deposit of $60 in the store account should be enough to cover purchases from the camp store and incidental needs.

The trip to camp from the New York City area will be made in buses chartered for our chaperoned party. The round trip fare will be approximately $220. In addition there will be the cost of shipping baggage to and from camp. Those wishing to save this cost may pack the camper’s clothing and equipment in two duffel bags, to be sent on the camp bus.

Campers traveling by air can be met at airports in Burlington, VT, Albany, NY or Montreal, Canada for a fee of $120, or Plattsburgh, NY for free.

There is no camp uniform. A list of suggested clothing and equipment can be found here, and will be sent along with the Parent Handbook and health form information in the early spring to all enrolled.

There are no extra charges for horseback riding, laundry, or the many hiking and canoeing trips out of camp. Work Group girls and boys who choose to attend a pre-camp session starting on Thursday, June 27, will be charged a fee of $300.

Fee and Campership Information

Our camp fee is intended to be nearly all-inclusive, covering every aspect of the camp program as well as such incidental expenses as weekly laundry. The only extra charges are for transportation to and from camp, and purchases from the camp store.

We have set our fee lower than that of many comparable camps because we are aware of today’s high costs for education and because we wish to make our camps available to as broad a range of children as possible. We believe the fee to be sufficient to ensure the high quality of leadership, care, and program to which we aspire.

We are able to offer moderate fee reductions to some families who otherwise might find it difficult to send their children to camp. Inquiries about this possibility should be made to the Directors.  


Chief’s Campership Fund

The Chief’s Memorial Campership Fund, supported by tax free contributions from past and present camp families, campers, and staff members, is available to a limited number of children whose financial need is substantial. The Fund can pay up to 50% of the camp fee, or more if the need is greater. Inquiries or referrals should be made to the following address:
