NCC West Adventures

This is a program that began in 1993 to offer interested 16 or 17 year old boys and girls, who have spent summers with us, the opportunity to test and build their outdoor skills. These groups experience a unique opportunity to learn about new and different ecosystems, cultures, and terrain beyond the Adirondacks.

Each year a different expedition destination is chosen, and our most experienced trip leaders organize a suitable itinerary and set of goals based on the abilities and experience of the entire group. Four to five week expeditions have been led to the wilderness ranges of Wyoming, Idaho, Colorado, Utah, Alaska , Northeast Australia, and the Pacific Northwest, and during the past few summers, groups have taken advantage of our relationship with NOLS - The National Outdoor Leadership School - enrolling in custom trips for North Country Camps "graduates"!
