Staff
We seek counselors who are caring, fun-loving, independent, and idealistic; who have the maturity and ability to live and serve as role models within a supportive community; and who above all have what it takes to enter a child's world without becoming childish.
We prefer counselors who have had one year of college, or equivalent, and have gained some life experience beyond High School.
Our staff wear three hats, serving as cabin counselors with groups of four to seven campers, as activity instructors, and as wilderness trip leaders. Most have a passion for the activities they teach, adding to the excitement of learning new things at camp.
Many counselors have been campers with us, and some are completely new to North Country Camps, providing balance and experience, as well as new ideas!
